Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to CALLTUNES, including its Discord Activity, backend services, playlist-sharing features, and related CALLTUNES pages. Third-party services linked or embedded through CALLTUNES have their own privacy practices.

2. Information CALLTUNES processes

Discord identity and activity context

When Discord provides it, CALLTUNES may process your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, nickname, app instance identifier, guild/server identifier, channel identifier, and information about participants connected to the Activity. CALLTUNES may request Discord's basic identify authorization so your real name and avatar can appear in the Activity when Discord does not provide participant identity through the connected-participants interface.

Shared-session information

CALLTUNES processes shared queue entries, current item, playback state, timestamps or positions, host status, guest permissions, participant presence, and session identifiers needed to keep participants synchronized.

Saved library information

If you use Favorites or Playlists, CALLTUNES may store playlist names, media URLs, resolved titles, authors, thumbnails, favorites, and a pseudonymous library identifier used to reconnect your saved library.

Playlist sharing

If you create a playlist share, CALLTUNES stores the shared playlist data and a share identifier so another user with that link can import it.

Technical information

Our servers and hosting or network providers necessarily process normal request information such as IP address, user agent, request time, error information, and network metadata to deliver and secure the service. CALLTUNES does not require you to create a separate CALLTUNES password.

3. How information is used

We use information to operate synchronized playback and shared-session controls; display participant names and avatars; save and restore playlists and favorites; create and retrieve playlist shares; resolve supported media links and display source metadata; detect errors, abuse, outages, and security problems; maintain and improve CALLTUNES; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our Terms.

4. When information is shared

CALLTUNES does not sell your personal information.

• Other session participants: names, avatars, presence, queue items, playback state, and session actions can be visible to people in the same CALLTUNES session.
• Discord: CALLTUNES runs within Discord and uses Discord platform APIs. Discord processes information according to its own policies.
• Media providers: when a source is resolved, embedded, proxied, or opened, the relevant media service may receive requests necessary to provide its content.
• Infrastructure providers: hosting, DNS, network, security, and deployment providers may process technical data necessary to operate the service.
• Legal and safety reasons: information may be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, fraud, security threats, or harm.

5. Third-party media services

Supported providers may include services such as YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitch, Kick, and direct media hosts. Their own terms and privacy policies govern their services. CALLTUNES does not control how those providers process information when their content is requested or opened.

6. Retention

Active shared-session state is generally needed only while a session is active and may be held in memory for service operation. Saved libraries and playlist shares may persist longer so those features work across sessions. Technical and security records may be kept for a reasonable period when needed for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, security, or legal compliance.

We may periodically remove inactive, invalid, test, or obsolete stored data.

7. Your choices

You can stop CALLTUNES from receiving new Activity data by leaving the Activity or uninstalling or removing the app where Discord provides that option. You can remove items from your local or saved playlists and favorites using CALLTUNES controls.

For a request involving stored CALLTUNES data, contact us through the support channel below. We may need enough information to reasonably identify the relevant pseudonymous library or share record or Discord account. Some information may need to be retained where required for security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and operational safeguards appropriate to the service. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you should avoid placing sensitive personal information in playlist names, media URLs, or other shared-session content.

9. Children

CALLTUNES is intended for users who are permitted to use Discord under Discord's age requirements and applicable law. We do not knowingly design CALLTUNES to collect personal information from children who are not permitted to use Discord.

10. International use

CALLTUNES may be accessed from different locations. Information may be processed where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law and provider safeguards.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the product, providers, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above when a revised version is published.
